Frequently asked questions

1.  What is the river's condition?  
Data is limited, but the Bohemia is considered "impaired" by EPA standards. The DNR rated the overall condition as "Fair" in its 2011-2013 assessment. Our most recent Water Quality Report Card rates the river as "B" condition.

2.  What activities are planned?
  • River and stream clean ups
  • Water quality monitoring on the river and its non-tidal tributaries
  • Community outreach at the Cecil County Wade-In and other public events
  • Paddle tours of the river
  • In-ground projects

3.  Can we really make a difference?
