DENISE DEORIO, Vice President
Denise grew up in southeastern Pennsylvania and moved to the shores of the Bohemia in 2016. She recently retired from the DuPont Company and has trained to be a Maryland Master Naturalist. Denise is passionate about protecting the environment and keeping our community beautiful and vibrant. She has spearheaded many of Friends of the Bohemia’s stream clean ups and our Adopt-a-Road program. Eradicating litter in our community is a hot button for Denise!

LINDA FOSTER, Secretary
Linda grew up in small towns on Long Island, NY and in Delaware County, PA. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, she worked as a Construction Contract Administrator for DeLeuw Cather & Co. and also for WMATA, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority. Linda is a Maryland Master Gardener. She has volunteered for numerous school, church, and gardening organizations. Linda and her husband moved to the Bohemia River in 2012 as a retirement home. The care of both land and water has become an interconnected passion and a great learning experience.

SYLVIA MOYER, Treasurer
Sylvia grew up and worked in Southeast Pennsylvania. She has an Accounting degree from Bloomsburg University and an MBA from Lehigh University. Sylvia is retired from Air Products & Chemicals Inc. where she worked as a financial analyst supporting various commercial teams for 37 years. In the early 90s, Sylvia was the plant controller for their manufacturing plant in Elkton, MD.
Sylvia first started coming to the Chesapeake in high school and loved it. She now has a summer place on the Elk river where she loves to kayak the many rivers, especially the Bohemia. Sylvia plans to move to this area full-time soon so she can help protect and improve the Bohemia and the Bay.

CHUCK FOSTER
Chuck grew up in Wilmington, DE and spent almost every weekend of his childhood on the Bohemia River, boating, swimming, and fishing. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, he worked in the banking industry, moving all around the country. Retiring in 2012, Chuck and his wife, Linda, moved to the shores of the Bohemia River. They love the Bay and all of its wonders, and are thrilled to be a part of the Eastern Shore community. Remembering the clear waters of his youth and a river teaming with fish, crabs and grasses, Chuck resolved to do his part to preserve and protect the beauty around him. He enrolled in Cecil County’s inaugural Watershed Stewards Academy program. With the encouragement and strong support of the Sassafras River Association and Cecil County, Chuck and Linda spearheaded the formation of the Friends of the Bohemia. Chuck is an amateur musician and an avid Bluegrass fan. He also volunteers with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to promote recreational boating safety.

Kimberly grew up on a farm in west central Wisconsin. She has a B.S. in Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Engineering from University of Wisconsin. Worked for W.L. Gore and Associates and 3M as a Process Engineer. In addition she and her husband owned an engraving business in Wisconsin for 14 years. Moved out here in 2006 and fell in love with the Bohemia River and Chesapeake Bay. Made a career change and worked at Cecil College as the Science and Engineering Lab Coordinator for four years. Decided to go part-time and is currently the Science Lab Assistant and pursuing an A.S. in Biology and Chemistry while dabbling in 3D printing.
